Frederic Church: A Painter’s Pilgrimage

Museum members are invited for an exclusive first look at the special exhibition Frederic Church: A Painter’s Pilgrimage, which explores Church’s paintings inspired by his travels to the Middle East and Mediterranean.

Enjoy early access to the exhibition, and a brunch just for members in Gengras Court.

Celebrate the exhibition Frederic Church: A Painter’s Pilgrimage at Art After Dark.

Featuring:

  • Belly dancing demos and lessons by Arthur Murray Dance Centers
  • Live music by Layaali Arabic Music Ensemble
  • Exhibition tour with curator Erin Monroe at 6pm
  • Docent-led exhibition tour at 7pm
  • An art activity exploring the intricate shapes and patterns Church might have encountered during his travels
  • Bazaar filled with items for sale, such as olive oil, za’atar seasoning, oya necklaces, Turkish towels, and olive oil soap
  • A screening of Caramel at 8pm

Treat dad to a delicious brunch in the Untitled Bistro, set to the sounds of the Orice Jenkins Trio. After, explore the galleries on your own or take a tour with a docent. Tickets include museum admission, jazz, brunch, and one complimentary bloody mary or mimosa.

There are two seatings, one at 10:30 am and one at 12:30 pm; tickets are $38/$28 members.
