Strauss and the Sublime

The first Sunday Serenades of the season takes inspiration from the dramatic Scandinavian landscapes featured in the exhibition Sublime North: Romantic Painters Discover Norway, with a stormy and romantic program of music by Grieg, Strauss, and Halvorsen. $30/$25 members and HSO subscribers. Call (860) 987-5900 or visit hartfordsymphony.org to purchase tickets.

Preceded by a Sublime North gallery talk at 1pm. Gallery talk is free with museum admission, or with a Sunday Serenades ticket.

The Sunday Serenades Chamber Music Series is presented in collaboration with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and features Concertmaster Leonid Sigal. The series is made possible, in part, by the Helen M. Saunders Charitable Foundation Music Endowment at the Wadsworth Atheneum. Support for this program is provided by The Royal Norwegian Consulate.
