Artists play with paint and also with words. Take a look at Sound & Sense: Poetic Musings in American Art and find the fun in words. Join Sea Tea Improv for an action-packed spontaneous poem build! Museum admission is free during Second Saturdays activities.

PLEASE NOTE: The museum’s Avery Door entrance (along Atheneum Square North, across from Travelers Tower) is currently closed to accommodate construction on Travelers Plaza. Please enter the museum through the doors at 600 Main Street. Click here for directions and more information.

Second Saturdays for Families: Explore art with your family, encourage creativity, and expand your imagination through conversation and discovery. Each program is free and includes hands-on art projects, tours for families, live music, and engaging fun through film, theater and dance. Join us the second Saturday of every month year-round!
