New York Botanical Garden
Dale Chihuly Exhibit
*RSVP deadline extended to September 21.
Dazzling, dramatic, breathtaking—all describe the work of Dale Chihuly, world-renowned artist and subject of a major exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden. A guided tour of the exhibit will enlighten us as to the evolution and process of Chihuly’s use of light, color, and form.
Twenty installations are set within landscaped gardens and inside buildings at the New York Botanical Garden—following our tour you may board a tram which circles through its 250 acres. The garden is distinguished by the outstanding diversity of its landscape and its vast collection of plants and trees.
The Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, a Victorian style glasshouse, showcases living collections from tropical forests and deserts as well as a display of palms and aquatic and carnivorous plants.
Lunch will be on your own at either the Pine Tree Café or Hudson Grill. Leave time for a visit to the NYBG gift shop, featuring a wide variety of plants, gardening books, fashion, beauty products and of course, Chihuly inspired mementos.
$107; $97 Members; includes transportation, admission, guided tours, and gratuities.
