Faculty can also browse and schedule tours online.
Curriculum-structured tours are tailored to amplify and enhance the content of a specific academic course or topic. Work with museum staff to plan an appropriate museum experience. Call (860) 838-4047 or email to discuss the possibilities at least one month in advance.
Faculty Mailing List
Join our faculty mailing list to receive reminders of upcoming special exhibitions, lectures, internship application deadlines, and university events via email. It’s easy! Send us an email with your name, university/college affiliation, address, and telephone number.
Book a docent-guided visit for your students and receive a Discovery Pass. This one-time free pass allows professors to explore our permanent collection and special exhibitions as they prepare for their students’ upcoming tour and plan connections to their classroom teaching. This pass expires at the time of the class visit.
Discounted museum memberships are available for faculty at the Select Individual ($35) and Select Household ($50) levels. Benefits include the following: free general admission to the museum; invitations to members-only events; discounted admission to films and other events; the quarterly Members Calendar; and 10% discount at the Museum Shop and in the Untitled Café.

Auerbach Art Library
The 43,000-volume Auerbach Art Library is one of the most comprehensive museum libraries in New England. The library is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 am to 5 pm.
Students and faculty of universities and colleges that are Institutional Members receive FREE ADMISSION with a valid student/faculty ID and are NOT charged for guided or self-guided visits. View a list of Institutional Members.
