42nd Hartford Youth Art Renaissance

Hartford Youth Art Renaissance, Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, Hartford

42nd Hartford Youth Art Renaissance
April 25 – May 24, 2015

Creativity takes center stage in this inspiring exhibition produced in partnership with Hartford Public Schools. Join us as we celebrate the 42nd Hartford Youth Art Renaissance with a collection of approximately 100 exemplary artworks created by students in kindergarten through grade 12, on view at the museum and at Hartford Public Library Downtown, located at 500 Main Street, Hartford. An audio guide of select students’ reflections on their masterpieces will accompany the installations. Come revel in the artistic excellence of Hartford youth and leave inspired!

The Hartford Youth Art Renaissance has fostered the future artistic leaders of Hartford since its establishment as a community art contest in 1973 and continues to do so as part of our Community Engagement Initiative, launched in 2008 with the goal of providing greater access to the museum.
